Capturing Memories Forever
I love Photography!! To say that I am passionate about it does not even begin to describe what that truly means. I say it because , in my limited way , I am letting you know that I am serious about it. I take my profession seriously. This is not some gig where I see an easy way of putting some side income into my pocket. This is serious business and I treat it that way. I am not a shoot and burner, but someone who wants to produce high quality, cutting edge images that people will look forward to passing down to their kids and grandkids and that involves more than just turning over some CD of images and expecting my clients to finish the job. People are counting on great images and in many cases there is no do-over. So in light of that, I am always seeking to do better; stay on the cutting edge; and treating every session as though it was my own family I am photographing. There is something about the joy of watching people as they see their images for the first time. Over the years, I have photographed many people and it has made me realize how important it is to give the best of my profession. There are a lot of people who call themselves photographers but simply picking up a camera, aiming it and pressing the button, does not make one a professional photographer.
My experience and desire in photography goes all the way back to my junior year of high school. Three of my friends and I purchased our first cameras and thus began my love and passion of photography. I knew then that photography was something special. After college I connected up with one of the leading photographers in Detroit, MI who mentored me in wedding and portrait photography and a year later I began my career as a professional photographer.
I have witnessed the transition from film to digital photography in the last decade and I have to say I am more excited, then ever, to be a photographer. With the changes, have also come new and different ways of telling people's stories though journalistic styles of photography. The digital age has truly opened the door of endless possibilities and it has only enhanced my enthusiasm for being a professional photographer.
I now live in Arizona, but will travel anywhere in the world to do what I love doing best and that is being a Photographer.
